Sustainability

The ranch is all about enjoying the outdoors, but always with respect for nature. Therefore, we have sustainability as a high priority.

Our buildings are efficientlyënt heated, as much as possible with geothermal heat, air heat pump and our own wood, and we use energy-efficient lighting everywhere. The entire site runs on our own fully approved water source. Waste is carefully separated (and you can contribute to that, too). Gray water is cleaned in an environmentally friendly way via our own septic tank and infiltration mat, while toilet bowl contents are safely stored and collected via a separate discharge point for environmentally friendly disposal.

We deploy raw materials in a circular manner whenever possible. Manure from the horses feeds our vegetable garden, where we harvest seasonal vegetables for the restaurant. We also give the manure to local people who want to enrich their gardens. The wood we use comes entirely from our own sustainable forest, so everything we do is responsible and local.

We buy locally as much as possible to ensure that our cozy village and community can also continue to exist. The wholesaler from Karlstad that we buy from does not buy products that are transported via air freight.

We like to buy used furniture or other furnishings/items and reuse furniture or convert it into a new project. We don't like to throw things away and like to repair it. But in the latter case, it is still used (if safe) as firewood. The obstacle/trail park is built almost entirely of wood from our own forest and we are proud of that.

Thus, the ranch is not only a place to relax and enjoy, but also a place where nature, animals and people come together in a conscious, circular lifestyle. Here you will experience the outdoors while we carefully handle everything our ranch has to offer.
